AES Waterblasters Begins a New Chapter with New Owners
September 2024 marks an exciting new chapter for AES Waterblasters, with Chris Wilmoth and Truby Gravatt officially taking ownership of the business.
AES Waterblasters has built a strong reputation for supplying heavy-duty, commercial and industrial-grade water blasters that are engineered for durability and real-world performance. The focus has always been simple: find the right solution, build it tough, and stand behind it. That commitment remains. We’ll be taking the time to understand each customer’s job and recommending the best-fit solution to keep them working.
While the ownership has changed, what hasn’t changed is the team. The AES team has been retained, meaning customers will continue working with the same knowledgeable people who understand their equipment, their industries, and their day-to-day pressures.
Chris and Truby share a clear vision for the future. They see AES not just as a supplier of equipment, but as a long-term performance partner. A business that solves problems, responds quickly, and genuinely cares about helping customers get the best outcome. That mindset means we will be putting customers first, resolving issues without blame, and doing what’s right.
“We’re proud to be stepping into a business with such a strong foundation,” says Chris. “AES already has a reputation for building gear that works as hard as its customers do. Our role is to support the team, back our customers, and keep building on that.”
For Truby, keeping the team together was non-negotiable. “The expertise within AES is incredible. Retaining the team ensures continuity for customers and keeps the technical knowledge right where it belongs.”
AES Waterblasters also remains proudly New Zealand owned and operated. In a market where offshore manufacturing and multinational ownership are common, local ownership means customers can deal directly with decision-makers who understand New Zealand conditions and industries.
Looking ahead, customers can expect straight-talking advice, heavy-duty engineering, and responsive support with fresh energy and a long-term vision for growth.
